This is a three day course that provides the basic theoretical and technical foundation in the Watch, Wait and Wonder Intervention. It includes the process of observing, viewing film of the intervention and participants are asked to do some filming ahead of the Course.
It is recommended for practitioners who are working with infants, preschoolers and their families and who preferably, but not necessarily, have psychotherapy experience. The course has been attended by practitioners from settings including early childhood education, home visiting services, child development teams, child health, perinatal, and infant and child mental health services. Not everyone chooses to continue with the Training but participants have found the course enlightening and valuable.
“Informative, clear, well paced by presenters to allow for the “taking in” of information and reflection”
“Felt the educational component was matched or paralleled by an experiential component”
“An excellent introduction which allows for a gradual move into clinical practice under appropriate supervision”
